Job summary

Kohler Co. in Kohler, Wisconsin is hiring a Cook III, Banquets, to prepare high-quality foods for banquets and a la carte service, ensuring consistency and quality across venues. This full-time, onsite role requires flexibility with shifts from 12:00 pm to 11:00 pm, weekdays and weekends.

You will train Cook I/II staff, manage safety and sanitation, assist in inventory and menu development, and work across resort outlets while engaging with guests.

Qualifications

• Have at least 2 years culinary experience (recommended).
• Be able to work all stations of assigned kitchen: appetizer/dessert, grill, sauté and food preparation.
• Experience working in multiple departments/venues in resort.
• Exposure to resort guests through guest-facing activities/stations.
• Completed sanitation course.
• Have 3-4 years culinary experience, recommended.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the training of Cook I’s in culinary skill set, safety, and sanitation practices.
• Demonstrate working knowledge of dietary needs and its importance to proper and safe food handling.
• Gain exposure to other stations of home department and other departments around resort.
• Ensure that the ordering checklists and prep lists are adhered and up-to-date by all Cook I’s and II’s.
• Assist Chef with conducting monthly inventory taking, when needed.
• Be able to work stations in more than one outlet across resort.
• Assist in the training of Cook I’s and II’s in culinary skill set, safety, and sanitation practices.
• Aid in development of daily specials or menu additions with trends and innovation in mind.
• Aid in using shrink from around store to maximize profitability.
• Developing and maintaining recipes to ensure margins.
• Train and develop tastings and samples in accordance with other departments.
• Hold customer education sessions.

Specific Responsibilities

This is a full‑time position working both weekdays and weekends. Shifts vary between 12:00 pm and 11:00 pm.

The hourly range for this position is $21.30 - $31.90. The specific hourly rate offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including candidate's education and work location.
