Management & Training Corporation (MTC) operates the Bluebonnet Detention Facility in Anson, TX. The role involves assisting with the preparation of all facility meals, maintaining sanitation, and coordinating detainees in cafeteria duties.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, food service training or experience, and the ability to obtain a food handler certification within 30 days of hire. A Texas driver’s license is required unless waived.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Food service training beneficial; prior supervisory experience preferred.
• Must pass food handler certification within 30 days of hire.
• Must complete required pre-service training.
• Valid Texas driver’s license with clean record unless waived by management.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook the quantity of food required according to menu and production sheet.
• Maintain kitchen equipment in orderly, safe, clean, and sanitary condition at all times.
• Count and control knives and other controlled kitchen tools; provide an accurate count at shift start and end.
• Prepare foods for special facility functions and diets as prescribed by staff doctor.
• Assist in cleaning kitchen work areas after each meal.
• Coordinate detainees assisting in the cafeteria, including long periods of sitting and standing.
