Job summary

Cook Children's Health Care System is seeking a Cook II to organize ingredients, plan and prepare foods in the Food & Nutrition Services department at Medical Center-Prosper. You will set up items by designated times, meet customer expectations, and coordinate with leadership on daily activities.

Responsibilities include maintaining sanitation of equipment and work area, preparing ingredients for next day, and ensuring all items are prepped, restocked and displayed properly while upholding

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent certificate.
• Twelve semester hours of food production courses preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of weights and measures; perform mathematical calculations used in recipe conversions.
• Ability to follow and relay oral and detailed written instructions; effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Organize ingredients and plan production in assigned areas.
• Prepare food items and set up foods by designated times.
• Meet customer satisfaction goals and expectations.
• Coordinate with Department Lead/Manager regarding daily activities.
• Maintain cleaning and sanitation of cooking equipment and work area.
• Ensure high-quality standards; prep, restock and display foods as assigned.
