Job summary
Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City is seeking a line cook to support the Sous Chef in the day-to-day preparation, tasting, presentation, and sanitation of menu items.
You will work in a high-volume kitchen, assist other line cooks, monitor quality and portion control, rotate stock, and ensure compliance with health codes. The role emphasizes teamwork and guest satisfaction; pay starts at $24.60 per hour with benefits.
Qualifications
- 2–3 years of experience in a high-volume kitchen.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
Responsibilities
- Assists the Sous Chef and Cook in quality and portion control.
- Work across kitchen areas as needed.
- Handle guest complaints professionally and promptly.
- Assist other line employees with daily responsibilities.
- Prepare production per established standards by Restaurant Chef.
- Label, rotate, and store items at proper temperatures.
- Prevent over-production and over-purchasing.
- Maintain inventory control of production.
- Ensure food prep and storage areas meet health codes.
- Promote positive relations with guests and team members.
- Maintain a clean, safe work environment.
