Grand Hyatt Indian Wells Resort & Villas in Greater Palm Springs is seeking a Cook 2 to join our culinary team. This intermediate-level role prepares food in hotel restaurants or main kitchens, follows recipes, processes orders, and maintains clean, safe workspaces in line with health guidelines.

The position offers an hourly pay range of $21.00 to $23.00, with experience and education factors influencing final salary.

Qualifications

• Team collaboration and interpersonal skills to interact with wait staff, management and guests
• Knowledge of health and safety guidelines and food temperature controls
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress kitchen while maintaining accuracy

Responsibilities

• Ensure ingredients and final products are fresh
• Follow recipes, including measuring, weighing and mixing ingredients
• Bake, grill, steam and boil meats, vegetables, fish, poultry and other foods
• Present, garnish and arrange final dishes
• Occasionally serve food
• Maintain a clean and safe work area, including handling utensils, equipment and dishes
• Handle and store ingredients and food
• Maintain food safety and sanitation standards
• Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment and utensils
• Execute opening and closing procedures
• Set up workstations with required ingredients and equipment
• Check the quality and freshness of ingredients
