Job Title: Cook II

The University of Iowa Health Care department of Food and Nutrition Services is seeking a Cook II. Under general supervision, the Cook II supervises and participates in the production of large-scale menu items and in the sanitation of cooking equipment and facilities.

Schedule and Location

• Percent of Time: 50%
• Schedule: Rotating weekends, shifts vary from 5:00 am - 1:30 pm and 8:00 am - 12:00 pm
• Week 1: Monday, Friday, Saturday
• Week 2: Sunday, Monday, Friday
• Location: General Hospital, Iowa City, IA

Salary and Benefits

• Salary Level: 07

Minimum Eligibility Requirements

• Two years of experience as a Cook I or equivalent outside experience in quantity and quality food preparation.
