Job description

BayCare is currently in search of our newest Team Member who is passionate about providing outstanding customer service to our community. We are looking for an individual seeking a career opportunity with one of the largest employers within the Tampa Bay area.

The Cook II is responsible for:
  1. Preparation of foods according to standardized recipes
  2. Production methods including food preparation for special populations, ensuring high quality using safe, sanitary food handling techniques during preparation, service, and storage
  3. Assists with orienting and training of new team members
  4. Performs other duties as necessary
Minimum Requirements:

Required Experience is 2 years Cook or 1-year relevant experience with High School or equivalent or Graduate of a culinary program.

Certifications and Licensures:

Serve Safe - Within 1 year of hire

Education:
  • Preferred - High School
  • Or Preferred - Technical Culinary
Experience:
  • Required - 4 years Cook
  • Or - 2 years with High School or equivalent
  • Preferred - 6 months in Healthcare
Specific Skills:
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
  • Organizational skills
  • Computer skills appropriate to the position
  • Customer service skills
