POSITION SUMMARY
The Cook II position is designed for team members who have developed foundational culinary skills and can independently operate assigned stations with minimal supervision. This role requires a stronger understanding of cooking techniques, station management, food quality standards, and team support.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Independently manage assigned cooking stations during service
- Prepare menu items according to recipe specifications and presentation standards
- Demonstrate consistency in execution, timing, and product quality
- Assist with training and mentoring Cook I team members
- Monitor product levels and communicate shortages proactively
- Maintain proper food handling, storage, and sanitation standards
- Complete prep production accurately and efficiently
- Assist with banquet production and special events as needed
- Support kitchen leadership in maintaining operational standards
- Communicate effectively with front-of-house and back-of-house team members
Qualifications
Required Education: High School Diploma
Work Experience:
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong understanding of basic cooking techniques and station execution
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively during service
- Understanding of food temperatures, holding procedures, and sanitation standards
- Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision

Professional Licenses & Certifications Requirements
- Must successfully pass a knife test
Additional Requirements
- Must be 18+ years old and be available for all shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S. and pass a drug test and background check for an AZ Gaming License.
- Must adhere to all Cliff Castle Casino Hotel policies and procedures.
