Job summary

BAC is seeking a cook for Patrick Space Force Base: Riverside Dining to prepare meals efficiently and safely during the 6:00am–2:00pm shift. This role reports to the site leadership team and emphasizes teamwork, accuracy, and adherence to food safety standards.

Responsibilities include following recipes, coordinating multiple menu items, and maintaining quality and cleanliness. Benefits and the opportunity for long‑term employment are provided.

Qualifications

• No minimum experience required.
• Must pass a background screening for access to the work areas
• Must pass a pre-employment drug test
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

• Use a full range of quality cooking procedures from common and frequently used new or difficult recipes. Prepare a variety of meats, poultry, seafood, vegetables, sauces, and gravies.
• On a day‑to‑day basis prepare multiple menu items for one meal which involve planning and coordination steps to ensure that all items are ready for serving at the same time.
• Keep Shift Supervisor or Cook II informed of overall work operation (e.g., activities, progress, delays).
• Assure established safety and housekeeping procedures are followed by all workers on shift.

Physical Requirements

Requirements will vary depending on the assigned tasks. This position does require the following: Repetitive lifting, push/pull, carrying, walking, climbing, squatting, kneeling and prolonged standing. Will involve lifting/moving up to 40 pounds. Reasonable accommodations, when practical, can be offered to accomplish the above requirements.

Safety And Environmental Requirements

• Tasks are regularly performed inside without exposure to adverse environmental conditions (e.g., dirt, heat, cold, rain, fumes).
• Will need to use any personal protective (safety) equipment as designated properly and consistently.
• Involves exposure to hazardous materials (i.e., cleaning solutions and bio-waste hazards).
• Required training provided by the company.
• Some tasks may be performed independently with little supervision.

Sensory Requirements

Some tasks require manual dexterity, in addition to visual and hearing acuity.

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday & Sunday - 6:00am-2:00pm

Salary:

18.05/HR
