Job summary

BlueStar Resort & Golf at IronOaks in Sun Lakes, AZ seeks a Cook 1 to join the Food & Beverage team. The role covers food preparation, cooking, and serving under the Kitchen Manager or Executive Chef.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year cooking experience in a commercial kitchen.
• Current Food Handlers card.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or team members.
• Ability to think, work, solve practical problems, and make independent decisions.

Responsibilities

• Master one kitchen station and take responsibility for personal decisions.
• Ensure high standards of service for guests and employees.
• Respond to guest or employee concerns promptly and professionally.
• Follow cleaning schedule to maintain a sanitary kitchen environment.
• Read and follow recipes and cooking instructions.
• Prepare vegetables and fruits as required by recipes.
• Cook and season meats, seafood, and vegetables per instructions.
