Job summary

Palmetto Bluff is a premier Lowcountry resort in Bluffton, SC, offering a farm-to-table kitchen environment. The Cook I will maintain high quality standards, assist in the kitchen, and serve as an ambassador of the club and culinary department.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent education required.
• Minimum of 3 years’ cooking experience.
• Upscale or fine dining experience strongly preferred.
• Culinary Degree from an accredited culinary program.
• Ability to communicate clearly and speak, read, write and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare all restaurant foods, hot and cold, meeting specifications and ensuring plate presentation.
• Maintain knowledge of all food products, sanitation standards, and policies; apply culinary techniques.
• Collaborate with management, chefs and service staff to fulfill guest and staff needs.
• Process requisitions, lower food cost and waste, label/date products, and manage tickets for service.
• Ensure guest experience through food appearance, quality and overall dining experience.
