Job summary

Estancia La Jolla Hotel & Spa is seeking a Cook I to craft culinary creations for our guests across multiple outlets. You will plan, prep, set up, and deliver quality dishes while maintaining a clean station and high standards of service.

The ideal candidate brings at least 1 year of culinary experience, solid cooking skills, and excellent communication. This role requires standing for long periods and flexibility for AM/PM shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1-year culinary experience.
• Knowledge and practical experience with basic cooking skills.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to work on AM, PM, weekend, and holiday shifts as required by operational needs.

Responsibilities

• Create dishes for guests in all outlets, ensuring quality and presentation.
• Plan, prep, set up, and maintain station cleanliness and organization.

As a Cook I, you will get the opportunity to create masterpieces for all our guests to enjoy! Our cooks are the heart of our resort, using their skills and expertise to delight our guests with their culinary creations. Our cooks plan, prep, set up, and provide quality service in all areas of food production for our many outlets.

To be successful in this position, we're looking for an amazing people connector, who thrives on creating experiences and problem-solving. This role as Cook I requires skills such as patience, empathy, and a desire to provide excellent service for our guests.
