Job summary

UnityPoint Health is seeking a Cook to deliver safe, nutritious meals in a high-performance kitchen. You will prepare hot foods, follow recipes, and maintain sanitation in a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years of experience as a Cook or in the food industry.
• Serve Safe Certification upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook hot food items while supporting the kitchen team to ensure meals are served on time.
• Follow recipes and safety guidelines to deliver tasty, attractive, and safe meals every shift.
• Keep food and equipment handled safely, clean, and well-maintained.
• Record temperatures, monitor quality, and report any concerns to your lead or supervisor.
• Collaborate with teammates, provide feedback, and contribute to a positive, goal-driven kitchen culture.
• Prioritize safety, compliance, and a smooth operation in a healthcare environment.
