Job summary

Archway Management is seeking a Cook Supervisor to lead the Dietary Department in Naperville, IL. You will supervise staff, prepare meals per recipes, and ensure proper sanitation and documentation for resident safety.

Responsibilities include coordinating with the Dietary Manager, covering shifts as needed, and maintaining high service standards. A ServSafe path is encouraged and leadership skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or Culinary Tech graduate required.
• Ability to read, follow recipes, production sheets, diet orders and trays.
• Willing to obtain ServSafe certification within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Dietary Department staff under the Dietary Manager.
• Prepare and portion hot and cold menu items per menu and recipes.
• Serve resident meals on correct service times.
• Monitor temperatures and sanitation per health regulations.
• Track inventory and place orders for needed items.
• Assist in staffing, discipline, and daily huddle meetings.

Qualifications:

• Abilitytoread,understandandfollowrecipes,productionsheetscounts,dietorders,trayticketsandallemployeeworkresponsibilitiesandflows.
• Understandaftertrainingoncomputersoftwaresystemforresidentinformationandpreferences.
• MustbeServeSafeCertifiedorabletoearnwithinthefirst90daysofstarting.

Duties:

• TheCookSupervisorworksunderthedirectionoftheDietaryManager.

Responsibleforthefollowingdailyactivities but not limited to as follows:

• Preparingandportionshotandcoldmenuitemsaccordingtopropermenu and recipeas noted on theproductionsheetcounts.
• ServingResidentmealsaccordingtothecorrectmealservicetimes.
• Coverageforanystaffmemberswhocalloutduetoillness.
• Assureallcorrectfoodandequipmenttemperaturesarebeingrecordedbymeal.
• Dailyresidentand facility employee interactiontoassureresidentsaresatisfied and being provided correctly.
• MaintainhigheststandardofsanitationasrequiredbythestateDepartmentofHealthregulations.
• Practiceclean, safeworkenvironment.
• Willing to work flexible work hours.
• Track inventory and communicate to the Dietary Manager and low supplies or place orders for needed items.
• Label, wrap and date all unused food items in the correct areas.
• Support and follow Archway Management and facility Policies and Procedures.

Responsible for the following daily activities in the absence of the Dietary Manager as follows but not limited to

• Assure staff is clocking in on time as per their schedule.
• Discipline staff not completing their job assignments correctly.
• Conduct daily huddle meetings for staff communication and direction.

Experience:

• Minimumof1yearsofpreviousDietary(Healthcare) or Restaurant Experience.
• PreviousSupervisoryExperiencepreferred.
