Clinton Presbyterian Community is seeking a professional Cook to join our team and help create a warm, homelike experience for residents. This role supports dietary needs and meal service in a senior living setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required; ServSafe preferred.
• Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling).
• Knowledge of cooking temperatures for different foods (meat, vegetables, desserts).
• Excellent customer service skills expected.
• One year of cooking experience in restaurant, healthcare or hospitality setting.

Responsibilities

• Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment.
• Establish line for each meal period and prepare plates according to resident diets and trays.
• Prepare ingredients for cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat).
• Ensure great presentation by dressing dishes before serving.
• Maintain sanitation and orderly kitchen environment; monitor sanitation schedules.
• Monitor hot and cold temperature logs daily.
• Ensure all food and other items are stored properly.
• Check quality of ingredients.

Key Responsibilities of a Cook:
