Job summary

Crossroads Turning Points seeks a full-time Cook for our unit in Pueblo, CO. You will support patient recovery by preparing meals, baking, and maintaining kitchen records in a busy setting.

The role is for afternoon and weekend shifts with a $19.00 per hour rate and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental & vision, 401K with employer match up to 5%, and paid holidays. Applicants must pass drug screening, background checks, and a TB test.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Prefer one year of experience in a restaurant or related cooking setting.
• SERV Safe Certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Cook to the menu and service counts.
• Bake bread, rolls, pastries, and desserts.
• Clean carts, racks, prep tables, sinks, dish machines, and floors.
• Maintain food records: meal count, usage, production, and temperatures.
• Assist inventory and rotate stock using FIFO.
• Check in deliveries and support packing away supplies.
• Break down boxes and discard trash as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

As a Cook at Crossroads Turning Points, you will play a crucial role in our patients' recovery journey. This position performs various food service operations as directed by the Kitchen Supervisor.This position is exclusively for afternoon and weekend shift hours.All applicants must undergo pre-employment drug screening, which includes testing for marijuana, as well as background checks and a TB test.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Cooks in quantities according to the menu and the number of people served.Bake bread, rolls, pastries, and prepare desserts.Cleans carts, racks, prep tables, sinks, dish machines, and floors.Develops, compiles, and maintains food records regarding meal count, usage, production, and temperature logs.Helps inventory supplies and equipment.Refill, stock, and rotate food items using the FIFO (First-In, First-Out) method.Assists in checking in and putting away deliveries from food vendors.Break down boxes and dump trash as needed.Performs other related duties as assigned.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: N/AQUALIFICATIONS:Education:High School Diploma or GED.Experience:Prefer one year of experience in a restaurant or a related cooking setting.Other:Valid driver's license and insurability.SERV Safe Certification.PHYSICAL DEMANDS:Must lift at least 40 pounds and use kitchen equipment safely.
