Works in various food preparation locations to prepare food items and specialty dishes as designated by pre-planned menus. Receives on-the-job training under direct supervision. Ensures that presentation is timely and meets quality standards. Communicates supply and equipment needs to management. Maintains a clean work area and follows proper sanitation procedures. Ensures quality production levels are maintained. Assists in controlling food and labor costs by eliminating waste and overproduction. Receives food orders and prepares items according to specific requests.
EDUCATION/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Minimum three years of experience in various kitchen preparation areas. Ability to read and write English sufficiently to perform the job.
