We are hiring immediately for a full-time and part-time COOK position.

Location: MUSC Orangeburg - 3000 St. Matthews Road, Orangeburg, SC 29118. Note: online applications accepted only.

Schedule: Full-time and part-time schedules; days and hours may vary. More details upon interview.

Requirement: Prior food service experience is required.

Pay Range: $16.50 per hour to $17.50 per hour.

Job Summary

Summary: Prepares food according to standards, guidelines, and regulations, ensuring quality service at all times.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Prepares high-quality food items according to recipes and instructions.
  • Serves meals or prepares for delivery, ensuring correct portioning, temperature, and presentation.
  • Uses ticket collection procedures and maintains records during service.
  • Maintains cleanliness of kitchen and storage areas.
  • Operates and maintains kitchen equipment.
  • Assists in production planning, record keeping, and ordering supplies.
  • Reports maintenance issues or accidents immediately.
  • Attends safety and in-service meetings.
  • Maintains good relationships with coworkers and customers.
  • Follows HACCP standards and safety policies.
