Job summary

The Northbridge Companies in Maine is seeking a cook to support our Culinary Director in a senior living community. You’ll rove the dining room and kitchen, helping ensure dishes are prepared, served, and cleaned up, while delivering warm, friendly service to residents.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant or customer service experience preferred, but training is provided.
• Will ing to adapt to changing roles as needed.
• Maintain a positive attitude during busy times.
• Be patient and attentive to residents' requests.
• Ensure dining area is clean, safe, and organized.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food as needed under the Culinary Director.
• Engage with residents, share the daily menu, and ensure satisfaction.
• Serve dishes to residents in a friendly manner.
• Assist in cleaning pots, pans, and maintaining cleanliness of kitchen.
• Keep kitchen and dining area clean and food safety compliant.
• Assist the Chef during meal service.

Job Summary

Your job as a cook is an all-hands type of role. You’ll rove the dining room and kitchen, ensuring any area that needs assistance is helped. Working closely with our Culinary Director, you'll help make sure dishes are made, served, and cleaned up.

Responsibilities:

• Prep food as needed per the Culinary Director.
• Talk to residents in a friendly way, share the daily menu, and make sure they're happy.
• Serve dishes to our residents in a kind manner.
• Assist in cleaning pots, pans, and keeping the kitchen area spick and span.
• Keep the kitchen and dining room clean and follow rules to keep the food safe.
• Assist Chef with cooking at meal service.

Qualifications:

• It's cool if you've worked in a restaurant or with customers before, but we'll teach you if you're excited to learn.
• Be open to changing roles on the fly.
• Stay positive, especially when it's busy, to keep things happy.
• Be patient and understanding when customers have requests or concerns.
• Notice when things need to be clean, helping keep the dining area tidy and safe.
