Job summary

The Marcus Theatres at Brookfield, part of The Marcus Corporation, is seeking a Cook to join our culinary team. This Part-Time role offers Morning, Day, Evening, and Night shifts with a starting pay of $16 per hour. You will help prepare and plate food for a high-volume movie theater kitchen, ensuring quality and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Candidate should bring a positive attitude, strong work ethic and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Knife and equipment setup and maintenance.
• Set up kitchen stations and prep areas.
• Read and prepare tickets for orders.
• Cook and prep food to recipe specifications.
• Maintain high quality and presentation of dishes.
• Uphold sanitation and safety standards.
• Keep line and prep areas organized and clean.
• Follow direction from kitchen leadership.
• Assist in controlling food waste.

Your Job Duties May Include...

• Knowledge of kitchen equipment and food items.
• Set-up of kitchen equipment.
• Station set-up, breakdown, and all necessary advance prep.
• Read tickets to produce orders.
• Prep and cooking of food to recipe.
• Maintain high quality level of food production and presentation.
• Maintain sanitation standards.
• Ability to keep the line and prep area organized, stocked and clean.
• Follow direction of the management team and food & beverage leadership.
• Assist in control of food waste.
