Responsibilities

• Review menus and the Daily Food Production Record for instructions
• Prepare nutritious, appetizing, and attractive meals according to company menus
• Follow proper procedures for covering, dating, labeling, and storing food in a timely manner
• Clean kitchen areas after meals, including preparation and service areas, pots, pans, surfaces, walls, and floors
• Participate in onboarding, training, in-services, and team meetings as requested
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Culinary Services Director or Sous Chef

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old
• At least two years of experience in institutional or full-service restaurant cooking
• Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written
• Maintain food handler permits and other certifications as required by regulations
• Knowledge of food safety procedures, sanitation, and storage techniques
• Meet health requirements of the state or province
