We are hiring immediately for a full-time COOK position.

Location: ESI - 2200 S Cobalt Point Way, Meridian, ID 83642. Note: online applications accepted only.

Schedule: Full-time, Monday - Friday, 6:00 am - 3:00 pm. No weekends required. More details upon interview.

Requirements: Experience in cooking, prep cooking, culinary skills, grilling, sautéing, and pantry work required.

Pay Range: $19.00 to $22.00 per hour

Job Summary

Summary: Prepare food according to federal, state, and corporate standards, guidelines, and regulations, following policies and procedures. Ensure quality food service at all times.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare high-quality food items according to recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery, and service schedules.
• Serve meals or prepare for delivery, using correct portioning, ensuring food is at the right temperature, attractive, and tasty. Taste all prepared food items.
• Use established ticket collection procedures during service. Maintain records from the area worked during service periods.
• Clean kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high cleanliness standards. Store or discard excess food per safe handling procedures.
• Keep refrigerators and storerooms clean and organized. Ensure proper storage of food and supplies.
• Operate and maintain kitchen equipment as instructed.
• Assist in production planning, record keeping, and reporting as required.
• Assist in ordering and receiving food and supplies.
• Report maintenance needs, faulty equipment, or accidents immediately.
• Attend in-service and safety meetings.
• Maintain good relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators, and managers.
• Perform job safely while maintaining a clean, safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Ensure proper presentation, portion control, and maintenance of serving temperatures; follow HACCP standards.
• Commit to personal and team safety.
• Follow all company policies, including safety procedures such as using gloves, oven mitts, slip-resistant shoes, and proper lifting techniques.
