Location: Northwest Health - 1331 State Street, La Porte, IN 46350. Note: online applications accepted only.

Schedule: Full-time; Days may vary, from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm. More details upon interview.

Requirement: Prior restaurant or hospital cook experience preferred, but not required.

Pay Range: $16.00 to $20.00 per hour.

Job Summary

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Prepare high-quality food items following standardized recipes.
2. Serve meals ensuring proper portioning, temperature, and presentation.
3. Use established procedures during service and maintain records.
4. Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and storage areas, adhering to food safety standards.
5. Operate and maintain kitchen equipment.
6. Assist in planning, ordering, and record-keeping.
7. Report maintenance issues promptly.
8. Attend safety and in-service meetings.
9. Maintain good relationships with team members and clients.
10. Follow safety protocols, including HACCP standards and proper use of safety gear.
11. Perform other duties as assigned.
