We are hiring immediately for a full-time COOK position.

Location: Genentech Hillsboro - 4625 North East Brookwood Parkway, Hillsboro, OR 97124. Note: online applications accepted only.

Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, 5:30 am to 2:00 pm. More details upon interview.

Requirement: Previous culinary experience and a valid ServSafe certification are preferred but not required.

Pay Range: $20.00 to $23.00 per hour.

Job Summary

Prepares food according to federal, state, and corporate standards, guidelines, and regulations, ensuring quality food service at all times.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions.
  2. Serves meals or prepares for delivery, ensuring correct portioning, temperature, and presentation.
  3. Uses established ticket collection procedures during service and maintains records.
  4. Cleans kitchen after preparation and service, maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
  5. Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and organized, ensuring proper storage.
  6. Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed.
  7. Assists in production planning, record keeping, and reporting.
  8. Assists in ordering and receiving food and supplies.
  9. Reports maintenance issues or accidents immediately.
  10. Attends safety and in-service meetings.
  11. Maintains good working relationships with coworkers and customers.
  12. Performs job safely and maintains a clean, safe environment.
  13. Follows HACCP standards for presentation, portion control, and temperatures.
  14. Adheres to all company policies and safety procedures.
