Job summary

Essentia Health is hiring for a nutrition services role at Grace Home Nursing Home to prepare and serve nutritious meals. The job covers cooking, baking, basic prep, cleaning and stocking while using institutional equipment and following dietary guidelines and policies.

Shifts are Day/Eve with weekend and holiday coverage; Serve Safe certification within 90 days may be required for certain locations. Benefits and supportive programs are described in the posting.

Qualifications

• Experience in kitchen preparation and cooking, quantity food cooking experience or experience working in an institutional food services department
• Serve Safe certification within 90 days of hire or transfer (Solvay Hospice House Only)

Job Description:

This position provides high quality appealing and nutritious foods to customers through food service through large and small scale cooking, baking and, basic food preparation, general cleaning and stocking of food services areas. Properly uses and cares for institutional food service equipment. Strictly adheres to infection control guidelines during food handling to prevent food contamination. Carefully follows Dietary recipes, guidelines, and departmental policies.
