Job summary

Frankfort Terrace is seeking a Dietary Cook / Line Cook to prepare tasty, nutritious meals for patients, including special diets coordinated with our Registered Dietitian.

This full-time role blends kitchen cooking with occasional dietary aide tasks in the dining room. You’ll keep the kitchen clean and safe, support menu planning, stock the freezer, and engage with patients. A sign-on bonus of $250 is available after probation.

Qualifications

• Food Handler Certificate and Certified Food Protection Manager within 60 days.
• 1 year of dietary/cook experience in healthcare or large kitchen preferred.
• Basic knowledge of computer-based documentation systems.
• Understanding of food preparation, serving techniques, and sanitation.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Lift at least 25 pounds and pass pre-employment checks.
• Schedule flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Prepare tasty, nutritious meals for patients including special diets.
• Keep the kitchen clean and safe following food safety rules.
• Assist with dining room duties as Dietary Aide when needed.
• Help stock freezer and assist with menu planning.
