Job summary

Vitality Living Elizabethtown is seeking a cook to prepare nutritious meals per the community menus and assist with daily kitchen tasks. This on-site role supports residents with high-quality service in a compassionate environment.

You will review production records, follow food safety practices, and participate in onboarding and ongoing training with the Culinary Services team. Join a vibrant community that values diversity and positive engagement in Kentucky.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in institutional or full-service restaurant cooking.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Maintain required food handling permits and state regulations.
• Understand food safety, temperature control, sanitation, and storage practices.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Meet state health-related requirements.

Responsibilities

• Review menus and Daily Food Production Records for instructions.
• Prepare meals that are nutritious, appetizing, and attractive according to company menus.
• Adhere to procedures for covering, dating, labeling, and storing food promptly.
• Clean kitchen after meals according to schedule, including prep and service areas, pots and pans, surfaces, walls, and floors.
• Attend onboarding and annual training, in-services, and team meetings as requested.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Culinary Services Director or Sous Chef.
