• Location: Danbury Hospital - 24 Hospital Avenue, Danbury, CT 06810. Note: online applications accepted only.
• Schedule: Full-time; shifts vary from 5:00 am to 1:30 pm and 11:00 am to 7:30 pm. More details upon interview.
• Requirement: Prior culinary experience is preferred.
• Pay Rate: $19.00 per hour.

Job Summary

Summary: Prepares food according to federal, state, and corporate standards, ensuring quality service at all times.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepares high-quality food items following standardized recipes and instructions.
• Serves meals or prepares for delivery, ensuring proper portioning, temperature, and presentation.
• Uses established ticket procedures; maintains records during service.
• Maintains cleanliness of kitchen and storage areas, following safe food-handling procedures.
• Operates and maintains kitchen equipment.
• Assists in production planning, record keeping, and ordering supplies.
• Reports maintenance issues or accidents immediately.
• Attends safety and in-service meetings.
• Maintains good relationships with colleagues and customers.
• Follows HACCP standards for presentation, portion control, and temperature maintenance.
• Follows safety policies, including proper use of gloves, oven mitts, slip-resistant shoes, and lifting techniques.
