Job summary

The Residence at Boyertown is seeking a Cook to craft flavorful meals for residents, working with the Dining Services team to meet dietary needs and quality standards.

You will follow community recipes, plan daily menus, assist with specials, maintain a clean kitchen, and help with deliveries and inventory.

Strong English communication, teamwork, and flexible weekend/holiday availability are required to provide exceptional dining experiences.

Qualifications

• Preferred experience in restaurant, senior living, healthcare, or hospitality settings.
• ServSafe certification is a plus.

Job Summary:

As a Cook, you will play a key role in crafting flavorful, balanced meals that support the health and happiness of our residents. Working closely with our Dining Services team, you’ll prepare a variety of meals to meet resident preferences, dietary restrictions, and high standards for quality, safety, and presentation. This role requires a commitment to providing consistent, exceptional dining experiences for residents and guests.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, cook, and present meals according to community recipes and following various dietary restrictions and requests.


• Ensure high standards of taste, texture, temperature, and presentation of every dish.


• Collaborate with the dining team to plan and execute daily menus, special events, and holiday meals.


• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines.


• Assist in receiving and inspecting food deliveries and managing inventory.


• Build positive relationships with residents through excellent service and professionalism to enhance their dining experience.


• Monitor inventory and assist in ordering supplies as necessary.

Requirements

Education:

High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Prior cooking experience in a restaurant, senior living, healthcare, or hospitality setting preferred.
