Job summary

Palm Point Behavioral Health in Titusville, FL is seeking a dedicated Cook to support patient meals and hospital dining services. You will prepare and cook foods according to daily menus, coordinate with supervisors on leftovers and menu changes, and help maintain inventory and strict cleanliness standards in a fast-paced hospital kitchen.

No prior experience is required, but a High School diploma and Safe Serve certification are preferred.

Cook is responsible for maintaining principles of proper food production and other related activities. Prepares and cooks foods according to menu; confers with supervisors as to use of leftovers; making menu changes, as necessary. Responsible for accurate inventory. Maintains high standards of food handling and cleanliness in work area, and is responsible for high standards of personal cleanliness. Works together with the employees of the department to provide optimal food, nutritional and environmental services to the patients, visitors, and staff to ensure the healing and well-being of each individual. Performs a variety of tasks that facilitate the provision of food services and nutrition support to patients, employees and visitors.
