Job summary

12 Oaks Senior Living is seeking a dedicated cook to prepare and serve nutritious meals in a senior living environment. You will follow planned menus, use standardized portions, and ensure meals are delivered on time while maintaining high sanitation standards.

Ideal candidates have prior cook experience, a high school diploma or GED, and familiarity with health and safety regulations in food preparation. Experience with large groups and special diets is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and serves meals as indicated on planned menus using standardized portion sizes and approved substitutions.
• Ensures that meals are served at scheduled times, planning and organizing food preparation tasks appropriately.
• Completes all clean-up duties as needed after each meal service.
• Follows cleaning schedules and sanitation checklists to keep kitchen and food service areas clean and sanitary.
• Ensures that resident, staff, and guest meals are accounted for according to established procedures.
• Observes and reports any problems or issues to the Director of Food Service or Executive Director.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
