Yona Solutions is seeking a qualified Cook to join our team in Jonesboro, AR. You will prepare meals per the menu, maintain safety and sanitation, and help provide warm hospitality to residents, visitors, and coworkers.

We offer a $1000 bonus for new cooks paid after 90 and 180 days, along with comprehensive benefits, a 401(k) plan, PTO, and wage-on-demand options. A proven cooking background and good communication are required.

Qualifications

• Must have proven experience as a Cook.
• Knowledge of sanitation and safety guidelines.
• Able to prepare meals according to instructions.
• Skilled in operating cookware, bakeware and cooking appliances.
• Friendly with good communication skills.
• Good physical condition and stamina.
• High school diploma or equivalent; certification in food services is a plus.
• Must provide a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Prepares all food according to menu in a safe, sanitary manner under the food services director.
• Ensures proper preparation, portioning, and serving of foods according to recipes.
• Prepares quality food products according to recipes and menus.
• Adheres to safety and sanitation standards.
• Prepares food in a timely manner at meal times.
• Responds to community issues or concerns in the dining room.
• Follows sanitation, safety, and cleaning schedules.
• Cleans all kitchen equipment and storage areas.
• Labels and dates all food in storage.
• Oversees proper food handling to prevent contamination and reduce cost.
• Suggests menu or recipe changes to utilize leftovers.
• Cleans all food service equipment and storage areas.
