Responsibilities

• Prepares all food according to the menu in a sanitary manner under the director.
• Ensures proper preparation, portioning, and serving per recipes.
• Prepares quality food according to recipes and menus.
• Adheres to safety and sanitation standards.
• Cooks food in a timely manner at meal times.
• Responds to community issues or concerns in the dining room.
• Follows sanitation, safety, and cleaning schedules.
• Cleans dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment properly.
• Labels and dates all food in storage areas.
• Oversees proper food handling to prevent contamination and reduce cost.
• Suggests menu or recipe changes to utilize leftovers and supplies.
• Cleans all storage and kitchen areas.
