Qualifications

• Must have proven experience as a cook.
• Knowledge of sanitation and safety guidelines.
• Skilled in preparing meals according to instructions.
• Apt in operating cookware, bakeware and cooking appliances.
• Friendly with good communication skills.
• Good physical condition and stamina.
• High school diploma or equivalent; certification in food services is a plus.
• Must provide a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Prepares all foods according to menu under supervision, in a sanitary manner.
• Ensures proper prep, portioning, and serving per recipes.
• Prepares quality meals per recipes and menus.
• Adheres to safety and sanitation standards.
• Cooks in a timely manner for meals.
• Addresses dining room issues as they arise.
• Follows sanitation and safety procedures and schedules.
• Cleans and stores all dishes and cooking equipment properly.
• Labels and dates all fridge/freezer/dry storage foods.
• Oversees proper handling to prevent contamination and reduce costs.
• Suggests menu changes to utilize leftovers.
• Cleans equipment and storage areas.
