KinderCare Learning Companies is hiring a Cook to prepare healthy meals and snacks for children in our centers, following menus developed by our in-house nutritionist. You will ensure safe food handling and accuracy in portions, supporting our educational environment.

Qualifications

• Love for children and desire to make a difference daily.
• Familiarity with food storage, allergy considerations, and cross-contamination avoidance.
• Follow nutritious menus and prepare quantities for center population.
• Basic math for measuring and portions.
• Possess or willingness to obtain a Food Handler’s License.
• At least one year of institutional cooking experience is desirable.
• Two+ years working with children is highly desirable.
• Able to use a computer and lift up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Maintain kitchen and related equipment safely and hygienically.
• Order food and supplies.
• Dispense and store medications, as requested.
• Complete timely documentation per KinderCare and licensing requirements.
• Support daily center duties and center goals with staff and leadership.
• Contribute to enrollment, accreditation, and engagement objectives.
