  • Biweekly Hours: 80.00
  • Shift: 5 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.

Summary

Efficiently and accurately perform cooking and food preparation assignments to ensure high-quality products. Comply with safety, sanitation, and quality control guidelines. Participate in quality control procedures and uphold the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.

Qualifications
  • Required: Possess a Level Two Person in Charge Food Protection Certification from an Ohio Department of Health approved body (e.g., ServSafe) or obtain within 90 days of hire.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in high-volume food service or high-quantity food production cooking.
  • Understanding of basic food preparation and cooking methods.
  • Ability to comprehend English for reading recipes, logs, and communication.
  • Ability to clearly verbalize menu options.
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations related to cooking measurements.

Preferred qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalency, culinary certification or coursework, and understanding of therapeutic diet plans. Physical requirements include the ability to sit, stand, stoop, bend, climb, push, pull, and lift 100-300 pounds, with exposure to chemicals, temperatures, flames, and steam.
