• Knowledge of kitchen safety practices, recipes and cooking techniques for meats, vegetables, soups, salads and baked goods.

• Prepare, season, cook, and bake food items according to menus, dietary restrictions, and portions.
• Train food service staff in preparation of simple foods/snacks and in dishwashing, cleaning, and routine equipment maintenance.
• Oversee staff in cleaning of kitchen or dining areas and maintain kitchen and dining room records.
• Maintain kitchen equipment and ensure safety and sanitation standards.
