Job summary

SONIC Drive-In is hiring a Restaurant Cook in Hillsboro, Oregon. You will oversee the Appetite Satisfaction Department, operating Food Production, Grill, Fryer and related tasks to prepare menu items to quality standards.

The ideal candidate can work irregular hours, nights and weekends, follow directions, communicate effectively, and maintain appearance and hygiene standards. Cross-training across stations is encouraged to keep things engaging.

Qualifications

• Ability to work irregular hours, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Effective communication skills; basic math and reading skills.
• Ability to follow directions.
• Willingness to abide by the appearance, uniform and hygiene standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food orders to quality standards.
• Handle food preparation and portioning.
• Cook on the grill.
• Operate the fry station.
• Dress items to order.
• Package menu items and ensure product quality.
• Cleanliness: trash disposal, mopping, sweeping, dishes, counters, sanitation.
