Job summary

DENNY'S RESTAURANTS is seeking a Cook to prepare and present food to order following brand standards and timing guidelines. You will work under the General Manager and Restaurant Manager to ensure safe, high-quality meals for guests.

Responsibilities include following prep procedures, maintaining stock levels, and adhering to health regulations. Must be flexible for holidays and weekends; strong customer service and ability to work in a team are essential.

Qualifications

• 18 years old or older
• Observe and ensure product is prepared and presented to Brand Standards
• Basic math skills (units of measure)
• Comply with health risk regulations for food handling
• Meet uniform and grooming standards
• Pass all required tests and training for the position
• Flexible schedule including holidays, nights and weekends
• Excellent guest service skills
• Dependable and able to learn basic tasks and follow instructions
• Able to communicate in English both orally and in writing
• Work in a team environment
• Respect diversity and show consideration for others

Responsibilities

• Lift and carry supplies and equipment up to 50 lbs throughout shift
• Bend, stoop, reach, wipe, lift and grasp
• Move and operate in a confined work area
• Work inside and outside the restaurant
• Read tickets, recipes and product specifications
• Observe wares for cleanliness
• Stand and walk for 4 to 8 hours
• Hear well in a loud environment to respond to needs
• Comply with health regulations for food handling
• Tolerate extreme temperature changes in kitchen and freezer areas
