Job Purpose
The Dietary Aide assists with food preparation according to procedural guidelines, under the supervision of the Food Service/Dietary Manager or Supervisor. The Cook prepares nutritious, appealing meals in compliance with policies, regulations, and resident needs, ensuring proper temperature and timing. Works with the Director of Food Service to allocate resources efficiently to meet residents’ nutritional and quality of life needs.

Minimum Education Required: Sufficient literacy skills.
Minimum Experience Required: At least one year of institutional food service experience as a cook.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in long-term care food production.
