Cook/Dietary Aide

Job description

We are looking for a reliable cook/dietary aide to join our organization. You will be responsible for the preparation, presentation, delivery, and serving of nutritious and healthy food to the residents of our long-term senior living facility. You will have experience in food preparation, and understand the importance of following all health and sanitary precautions needed for food service. An understanding of quality customer service is important.

Dietary Aide Duties and Responsibilities

• Clean and set tables for residents
• Set up any seasonal decorations and table cloths
• Greet residents and assist them to their tables
• Prepare meals according to special dietary needs
• Remove dirty dishes and utensils
• Scrape, stack, or load dishes, utensils, glassware into the dishwasher as needed
• Vacuum, sweep, or mop dining room
• Remove trash and recycling; replace trash bags
• Clean up resident spills as needed
• Clear table as residents complete their meals
• Follow and maintain all sanitation and safety procedures
• Monitor and stock all food preparation stations
• Prepare kitchen and food preparation for the next meal
• Assist residents to leave the dining area

Dietary Aide Requirements and Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent preferred
• Able to work nights, weekends, and holidays
• Physically able to stand and move during the length of shift; able to bend and kneel through shift; able to pick up debris from the floor
• Able to carry 25 or more pounds
• Friendly polite and courteous demeanor
• Able to take directions
• Pass background check
• Work well as part of a team

Experience:

• Nursing home/assisted living: 1 year (Preferred)
• Cook: 1 year (Preferred)

Ability to Commute:

• Pequot Lakes, MN 56472 (Required)

Job Types: Part-time, PRN

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 30 per week
