Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living is hiring a Cook to prepare meals for residents, following standardized recipes and menus. You will ensure quality, safety, and adherence to dietary needs while maintaining a clean, organized kitchen and recording temperatures and production quantities.

You will support dishwashing and dining service, and may lead food production in the absence of the Dining Services Coordinator. Sunrise emphasizes a safe, enjoyable dining experience and compliance with all guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals according to standardized recipes and menus
• Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet Sunrise standards
• Follow dietary modifications and special meal requirements
• Record production quantities and food safety temperatures
• Stock, rotate, date, and store food per safety regulations
• Maintain clean kitchen, storage, and equipment areas
• Complete cleaning logs and equipment maintenance reports
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and OSHA guidelines
• Support dishwashing and dining service as needed
• Lead food production in the absence of the Dining Services Coordinator
• Help create an enjoyable dining experience while ensuring safety and compliance
