The Role

A Cook is responsible for food preparation, execution, and delivery of safely handled food to customer-facing employees for service.

Responsibilities :

  • Maintain a friendly, positive attitude and professional demeanor at all times.
  • Report for scheduled events on time and to the correct area.
  • Fulfill opening and closing duties as assigned.
  • Coordinate with supervisors for prep lists and daily tasks.
  • Execute assigned tasks promptly and safely, following recipes.
  • Maintain cleanliness of walk-in coolers, reach-ins, dry storage, and work areas.
  • Have extensive knowledge of all menus, including specials.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, attendants, runners, chefs, and management.
  • Work as a team with colleagues and other departments.
  • Pay attention to detail to exceed expectations.
  • Keep the kitchen clean, sanitary, and organized.
  • Complete closing duties and check out with a manager or supervisor.
  • Be familiar with the layout of the kitchen and back-of-house areas, and be able to direct staff and guests.
  • Be aware of other food and beverage outlets within the venue.
  • Be flexible to work at different locations as needed.
  • Work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications :

  • High School Diploma or GED; culinary degree or certification preferred.
  • 2-4 years experience in fast-paced food service, catering, or similar.
  • Proactive, organized, and able to prioritize tasks.
  • Maintain sanitation and cleanliness standards.
  • Work well under pressure and adapt quickly to change.
  • Punctual and dependable.
  • Ability to read, retain information, and perform basic math.
  • Speak and read basic English.
  • Work effectively in a stressful environment with others.
  • Move quickly and perform duties efficiently.
  • Maintain personal hygiene and a professional appearance.
  • Ability to walk long distances, stand for extended periods, lift at least 30 pounds, and perform physical tasks.

Practice safe work habits and follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulations. Complete safety training as required.
