The Role

A Cook is responsible for food preparation, execution, and delivery of safely handled food to customer-facing employees for service.

Responsibilities :

• Maintain a friendly, positive attitude and professional demeanor at all times.
• Report on time for scheduled events and arrive at the assigned area promptly.
• Perform opening and closing duties as assigned.
• Coordinate with supervisors for prep lists and daily timelines.
• Execute assigned tasks using correct recipes in a timely and safe manner.
• Maintain cleanliness of walk-in coolers, reach-ins, dry storage, and work areas.
• Have extensive knowledge of all menu items and specials.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, attendants, runners, chefs, and management.
• Work collaboratively with team members and other departments within the venue.
• Pay attention to detail to exceed expectations.
• Keep the kitchen clean, sanitary, and organized.
• Complete closing duties and check out with a manager or supervisor.
• Be familiar with the layout of the kitchen and back-of-house areas, and be able to direct staff and guests accordingly.
• Be aware of other food and beverage outlets within the venue.
• Be flexible to work at different locations as needed.
• Maintain a flexible schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays, to meet service demands.

Qualifications :

• High School Diploma or GED; culinary arts degree or certification preferred.
• 2-4 years of experience in a fast-paced restaurant, catering, or relevant food service environment.
• Proactive, self-motivated, organized, and able to prioritize tasks.
• Committed to sanitation and cleanliness.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt quickly to change.
• Punctual, dependable, and able to read and remember recipes, menus, and signage.
• Capable of performing basic math and communicating effectively in English.
• Work well under stress and in a team environment.
• Able to move quickly, stand for long periods, lift at least 30 pounds, and perform physical tasks such as walking, kneeling, and bending.

Practice safe work habits, adhere to safety policies, and complete all safety training.
