Job summary

Crestwood Fallbrook Healing Center in Fallbrook, CA is seeking a Cook/Chef to stock, prepare, and serve meals for clients and staff, while interacting with people in a caring, professional manner.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, institutional food service experience, knowledge of therapeutic diets and food safety, and the ability to supervise kitchen staff. The role offers full-time hours from 5:30 AM to 2:00 PM and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Previous institutional Cook/Chef experience preferred.
• Understand basic principles of therapeutic diets and service foods accordingly.
• Experience supervising food service staff is an advantage.
• Know proper health code sanitary techniques in all food service areas, including safe temperatures.

Title: Cook/Chef

Job Duties

The Cook/Chef shall possess the skills and experience necessary to stock, prepare, and serve food to appropriate number of clients and staff. The Cook/Chef shall interact at all times with clients and facility staff in a caring and professional manner.

Schedule

• Full-Time: 5:30AM-2:00PM

Qualifications

• A high school diploma desired.
• Previous experience as an institutional Cook/Chef desired. Other institutional food service experience helpful.
• Understand the basic principles of all common facility therapeutic and texture modified diets and properly serve foods designated for these diets.
• Experience in supervising food service staff desired.
• Must know proper health code sanitary techniques in all food service areas, including safe temperatures.

Crestwood Fallbrook Healing Center is a Mental Health Rehabilitation Center (MHRC) located in Northern San Diego County, in the beautiful city of Fallbrook, the "Avocado Capital of the World." We accomplish successful reintegration through various modalities including classes, therapy, community service, and peer mentorship.

The salary range listed below represents the minimum and maximum base pay per hour at the time of posting. Final salary offered to the candidate selected for the position will be based on factors including but not limited to candidate's skills, experience, licensure, and program acuity.

Pay Range: $23.39 - $24.58 USD
