Snelling Staffing Lexington is seeking personnel for a school kitchen role responsible for cooking under supervision, ensuring nutritious and appealing meals for students. The position supports production, delivery, and service schedules in a fast-paced environment.
The role involves supervising student workers, maintaining safety standards, and collaborating with school staff. Previous kitchen experience is helpful and the work requires physical stamina.
Perform cooking duties under direction of supervisor. To provide nutritional and attractive meals and ala carte selections to schools as specified.
Supervise student workers, ensuring that proper safety and sanitation standards are maintained.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read, understand and speak English to perform essential functions of the job. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one to customers and other employees of the organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
