Seattle Public Schools is seeking an individual to assist in the preparation and serving of nutritious meals under sanitary conditions. You will perform tasks in a timely manner, follow standardized procedures, and help keep the kitchen and equipment clean and organized.
The role requires ability to read/write English, follow safety guidelines, communicate professionally with students and staff, and provide reliable transportation and a current phone number.
Under the direction of the Culinary Services Manager and her/his designee, assist in the preparation and serving of attractive, nutritious meals under strict sanitary conditions in the time allotted.

Director of Culinary Services
Possess a valid Food Handler's Permit.
Required to stand and walk for prolonged periods; ability to lift up to 35 lbs.; carry, push, stoop, reach and ability to handle and perform fingering functions.
Required to shift tasks and priorities; experience frequent interruptions; requires flexibility and adaptability; perform repetitive tasks; requires individual initiative and teamwork; ability to communicate with students and adults in some difficult situations.
Be available to work at any location on an on-call basis. Hours will vary depending on assignment. Assignments can vary on a day to day basis. Upon accepting an assignment; required to report to work or give proper notification if unable to report.
Have normal far vision, depth perception and color vision.
May be exposed to general cleaning chemicals.
