Job summary

The Pepi Companies in Enterprise, AL is seeking a Kitchen Associate to prep daily menu items, chop vegetables, portion meats, and assemble salads following standardized recipes.

You will support the dining center team during peak hours, maintain a clean, safe workspace per Gold Standard, and help with inventory and ordering. This role offers daytime to evening shifts with a wage of $12–16 per hour and bonus potential and generous benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; culinary training is a bonus but not required.
• At least 1 year of experience in a kitchen or food prep role.
• Experience in a high-volume setting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients for daily menu items, including chopping vegetables, portioning meats, and assembling salads or sides.
• Assist in the preparation of homestyle meals for manufacturing employees.
• Ensure items are prepped timely to support peak dining hours.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area per Gold Standard kitchen expectations.
• Assist with inventory checks and communicate supply needs to the Dining Center Manager.
• Support kitchen team in grilling, frying, or baking as directed during busy shifts.
• Follow HACCP and all food safety standards to ensure a safe dining environment.
• Adhere to safety protocols for kitchen equipment and PPE.
