Job summary

Compass Group USA is seeking a skilled Cook to join a fast-paced grab-and-go kitchen environment. The role focuses on preparing and cooking a variety of meals, maintaining high quality, and keeping the kitchen clean and organized. A passion for cooking and teamwork is essential.

Responsibilities include portioning, proper serving temperatures, and adherence to HACCP standards. This is a part-time, on-site position with opportunities for growth and benefits through Levy associates.

Qualifications

• Experience with cutting tools and kitchen equipment.
• Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling, etc.).

• Stores or discards excess food per safe handling procedures.
• Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and organized; stores items per standards.
• Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed.
• Reports maintenance or equipment issues to supervisor.

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cook to participate in a fast-paced grab and go kitchen environment. A Cook in the position will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of meals, ensuring that the food is of high quality, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking, excellent culinary skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

This is not an exhaustive list. The items below are primary duties. All other duties assigned by leadership are expected to be completed as requested.

• Greets, directs and responds to guest questions and needs in a timely manner
• Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions
• Serves meals by using correct portioning, meeting outlined standards, ensuring that food is at the correct temperature
• Ensures proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of serving temperatures; follows HACCP standards.
• Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
• Stores or discards excess food in accordance with safe food-handling procedures.
• Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and neat. Ensures food and supply items are stored per standards.
• Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed
• Reports needed maintenance, faulty equipment or accidents to the supervisor immediately.
