Central Bethany, a premier athletic club in Portland, OR, seeks two part-time cooks to join our Bistro team. Shifts include Weekday AM or PM and rotating Saturdays; pay ranges from $18.50 to $19 per hour. You will play a key role in preparing diverse dishes and assisting guests in a fast-paced club kitchen.

Formación

• 2+ years experience in food and beverage or hospitality preferred.
• Food Handlers Card required by 1st shift.
• CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications must be obtained within 60 days of hire.

Responsabilidades

• Prepares a variety of ethnic breakfast, lunch and dinner dishes and recipes.
• Cleans work area and equipment per department procedures after each use.
• Guides completion of daily prep lists and job assignments.
• Maintains punctual, regular and predictable attendance.
• Works collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation.
• Displays excellent communication and remains calm and courteous under pressure.
• Completes all daily temperature logs.
• Assists in washing dishes as needed.
• Uses correct cooking skills and properly operates broiler, grill, sauté and oven.
• Labels, dates and covers all food items for proper storage.
• Keeps all kitchen items stocked.
• Serves as a customer service contact for members at the bistro, including: answering questions, welcoming and other member communications.

Job Location: Bethany Athletic Club - Portland, OR 97229, Position Type: Full Time, Education Level: Not Specified, Salary Range: $18.50 - $19.00, Travel Percentage: None, Job Shift: Any, Bethany Athletic Club, a premier athletic club in Portland’s west side seeks two part-time Cooks to join the Dining team! The successful candidates will ensure our Bistro prepares and delivers superb dishes to our guests.Schedule: Weekday AM 8-2PM OR Weekday PM 2-6PM & Rotating Saturdays 8-2PM (part-time shifts only)Pay: $18.50-$19

Qualifications:

• 2 + year experience in food and beverage and/or health club or hospitality industry preferred
• Food Handlers Card required by 1st shift.
• Cost is $10.
• CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications (provided and paid for by us) must be obtained within 60 days of hire
• Ability to work weekends as necessary
• Must be 18 years of age

Qualifications: Language Requirement

All team members must have the basic ability to use computer/smart phone applications for training and company system purposes. Employees must also be able to comprehend written documents such as work orders, safety rules, instructions, policies, and procedures. Also required is the ability of employees to speak and communicate effectively with clients, coworkers and management.
